Overview

Objective of Education

  • Creating East Asian Specialists’ groups and networks in the fast-paced global diplomatic architecture, through in-depth knowledge and sharing expertise experiences on Korea and East Asian focused diplomatic issues
  • Promoting Korea’s international presence in the world community in leading and analyzing diplomatic and global issues by utilizing the Korea National Diplomatic Academy’s accumulated teaching and research capacity in the field of diplomacy and security
  • Actively initiating ‘advocacy-based’ public diplomacy, which focuses on promoting national policy, values, and identity over the tradition approach of ‘projection-based’ public diplomacy of national branding and image

Course Characteristics

  • Lectures on Korean diplomacy, peace and security in East Asia, common prosperity in East Asia, and global issues in East Asia
  • KNDA professors provide one-on-one supervision to the program participants, including production of a short policy-oriented paper
